Mark 3:1-20 Jesus healings lead to plots to destroy him

As he entered the synagogue a man with a withered hand was present, the Pharisees were watching Jesus to see if he would heal on the Sabbath day, so they may accuse him.

Jesus spoke to the man with the withered hand and said come here, he said to the Pharisees "Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do harm, to save life or to kill.?" But they went silent, Jesus was grieved at the hardness of their heart and was angered he said to the man"Stretch out your hand" He did and his hand was restored. They immediately went and held counsel with the Herodians against him, how to destroy him.

Jesus went to the sea with his disciples a big crowd followed him , they were from all the places he had been and there was those that had just heard of him. He instructed his disciples to make a boat ready because of the big crowd, when the unclean spirits saw him the fell down before him and said"you are the Son of God" and he ordered them not to make him known.

He left and went up into the mountains and called the ones he wanted with him to come. he appointed Twelve, these twelve he named his Apostles so they could stay with him and learn, and send them out to preach and have authority to cast out demons.

When they went home the crowd gathered again so they could not even eat.

Mark 2:15-28 Tax collectors, sinners, Fasting and the Sabbath

As Jesus was reclining at the table in his house, many tax collectors and sinners were there with him, the scribes to the Pharisees questioned his disciples,"why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?" Jesus heard them and asked."Those who are well have no need for a physician, but those who are sick. I came out not to call the righteous, but sinners."

John and the Pharisees were fasting and people were asking, why do John's disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples do not? Jesus said to them"can the wedding guest fast while the bridegroom is with them? as long as they have the bridegroom with them they can not fast."

One sabbath as they were walking through grainfields the disciple were picking heads of grain, the Pharisees seeing this questioned Jesus ."look why are they doing what is not lawful on the Sabbath?"
Jesus replied "the Sabbath was made for man,not man for the Sabbath . so the Son of Man is Lord even on the Sabbath.

Mark 2 verses 1 through 14

Jesus returned to Capernaum after a few days word got out that he had returned , many people began to gather at his door to hear hime preach the gospel and to see and be healed by his divine powers, there came to him four men carring a paralytic when they could not reach him through the crowd they moved him to the roof and after taking off the thatched roof lowered the man down, when Jesus saw their faith he said to the man" Son, your sins are forgiven." there were scribes there that questioned Jesus on his ability to forgive sins? and Jesus said to them,"Why do you question these things in your hearts? But you must know that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins" He said to the paralytic..."I say to you rise, pickup you bed, and go home." the man did as Jesus commanded and walked out of the house, all were amazed and glorified God.

Jesus went out again by the sea and all the people were with him as he preached to them, he passed by and he saw Levi sitting at the Tax booth and said to him "Follow me." he rose and followed him

Mark 1 verse 21 through 45 " Jesus heals many"

Jesus went to the city  of Capernaum, on the sabbath he was teaching in the synagogue and the people were amazed at his teachings, because he taught them as one who had authority, immediately there was a man with an unclean spirit that cried out, what have you to do with us Jesus of Nazareth? I know who you are the Holy one of God. Jesus rebuked him to silence and told the spirit to come out of him, the unclean spirit convulsing and crying in a loud voice came out of the man. The people were amazed and in question wondered if this was a new teaching with authority? He even commands unclean spirits and they obey him,
He left with and enter the hose of Simo and Andrew along with James and John, as they enter he was told of their ill mother, he went to her and took her by the hand and as she stood the illness and fever left, and she began to serve them.

Than evening the city people brought many ill and demon filled people to the house and he healed them and cast out spirits but did not allow the spirits to speak because they knew him.

He went on to preach to many in Galilee and also healed and cast out demons, his ability to castout demons and heal people spread through out the countryside and Jesus could no longer openly enter a town, he remained in desolate places and people were coming to him for healing.

Mark Book 1 verses 1 through 20

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ , it is written in the book of Isaiah the prophet. Behold I will send a messenger before me and he is John the Baptist. He is found in the wilderness crying come to me and prepare the way of the Lord.

John was baptizing people in the wilderness for forgiveness of their sins. all the people of Judea and Jerusalem were baptized by him and confessing their sins.

John preached after me comes the one who is mightier than I , he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus came to John the Baptist and was baptized by him in the Jordan, after he baptized Jesus and as Jesus arose from the water, the sky's opened and heaven appeared and the Spirit descending on Jesus like a dove and a voice came from Heaven. "you are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased"

Jesus was directed to the wilderness where he spent 40 days being tempted by the Devil, he was with the animals and the Angels was ministering to him.

After John was arrested Jesus came into Galilee proclaiming the gospel of God. " The time is fulfilled , and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."

He saw Simon and Andrew by the sea and told them to lay down their nets and follow him; "follow me and become fishers of men." they left their nets and followed Jesus, he then seen and spoke to James and Zebedee and they followed him also.
